The Liposuction Board Certified is the first Surgical specialty board on Liposuction in the United States. Founded in 2007, it is a voluntary, private organization whose purposes include:

Improving the quality of medical care available to the public
Establishing and maintaining standards of excellence in the specialty of Liposuction
Improving the standards of medical education for training in Liposuction
Determining by evaluation the fitness of specialists in Liposuction who apply for and hold certificates

Our Mission
The mission of the LBC is to promote excellence in medical care through educational and scientific initiatives. Through certification and maintenance of certification programs the LBC pursues its mission by establishing, maintaining, and measuring high standards of excellence in the specialty of Liposuction. The LBC seeks to provide assurance to the public that certified Liposuction Surgeons possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide quality care to the individual, family and community through commitment to professional standing, continued competency in the specialty of Liposuction, and lifelong learning.
